Las Vegas Elopement Planning Guide

A chapel ceremony, a desert horizon, a late-night wander under the neon. Your Las Vegas elopement can feel like you from beginning to end. Start with the experience you want, then build the location, guest list, and coverage around it. A little breathing room makes space for the moments you cannot schedule.

Start with your priorities and marriage paperwork

Choose your must-haves together: private vows, time with family, a particular chapel, or portraits after dark. For a legal ceremony, review the Clark County marriage-license requirements. Generally, both partners complete the process in person with accepted original identification. There is no waiting period after the license is issued. Allow time for collection before your ceremony, and confirm the current fee and eligibility requirements with the Clerk.

Build a timeline with room to enjoy it

Work backward from your confirmed ceremony reservation and the light you want for portraits. Include getting ready, a first look if you want one, travel, parking, check-in, vows, portraits, and a celebration afterward. A four-hour collection is not automatically an all-day itinerary. Two nearby settings with time to settle in can be more enjoyable than racing between several stops.

Keep a flexible buffer for traffic and crowded streets. Give your guests a clear meeting point and decide who handles transportation before the day arrives.

Choose a chapel or a permitted desert setting

Compare Sure Thing Chapel and A Little White Wedding Chapel for their ceremony style and reservation rules. Ask about guest counts, outside photography, and the time available for portraits. For desert plans, explore Cactus Joe’s, Red Rock Canyon, or Valley of Fire through their official venue or land-manager information. An attractive photo location is not automatically an approved ceremony site.

Plan coverage and the practical details

FLE offers a two-hour Chapel photography collection as well as longer options. Choose coverage around the locations, travel, and moments you want documented. Photography, videography, and combined collections are listed on our pricing page; ask about film options when you inquire.

Confirm venue reservations and permits, lodging policies, transport, meals, and a weather backup before finalizing the timeline. Hotel rooms, rentals, casinos, and restaurants may require separate approval for events or professional photography. Keep each vendor’s scope and payment terms in its own agreement.
