Red Rock Canyon brings wide-open scenery and a quieter rhythm to a Las Vegas elopement. Start with an approved ceremony location and a workable plan, then make space for the vows, portraits, and small moments that brought you here.

BLM lists four wedding locations: Red Rock Overlook, Red Spring Boardwalk Platform, Ash Spring Overlook, and the Visitor Center Amphitheater. Each has its own capacity and access considerations. Ask which option fits your guests and their mobility needs. A permit does not provide exclusive use of the area.

Confirm the meeting point with your vendors rather than using a general park pin. Plan the drive from your accommodation, parking, walking time, and a clear departure plan. Share directions before leaving town. Ask guests whether terrain, distance, or seating affects which setting will work for them.

Discuss the season, expected conditions, and your ceremony window with your team. Portrait timing must fit the approved access hours. Have water, practical footwear, and appropriate layers available. Keep an alternative plan for conditions that make the original route uncomfortable or unsafe.

BLM requires an approved Special Recreation Permit for weddings. Its published application window runs from 180 to 30 days before the event. Permit fees depend on the activity and paid services involved, so request the applicable requirements rather than budgeting a flat fee. Carry the approved permit and confirm any photography or filming requirements with BLM.
Review the official wedding and visitor guidance for capacity, vehicle limits, permitted hours, and prohibited props. Scenic Drive entry reservations are a separate planning consideration; confirm whether your route and permit require one.

After the ceremony, keep portraits close enough that you can enjoy them without rushing. If you want to add downtown neon photographs or dinner, allow a genuine transition between the desert and the city. Tell your photographer which moments are essential so travel does not consume the time you hoped to spend together.

Tell us what you want the day to feel like, who is coming, and which moments matter most. We’ll help you choose photography and film coverage around your celebration. Explore FLE collections or send an inquiry.
Confirm the permit, ceremony location, approved time, vendor access, transport, and weather backup. Review the official guidance again before travel. Photographs from past celebrations are inspiration, not proof that a particular setup is permitted today.
